"A short walk from Tate Modern and the magnificent
Borough Market, Zakudia, on the south bank, combines
both the fine art of the former and fine food of the
latter in a relaxed setting that perfectly suits this
thriving part London. A light and airy space with panoramic
views of the River wherever you sit, its perfect for
post gallery relaxing, pre club cocktails or dinner
with jazz-fusion sounds. Dishes include salads, mini-meals
or Mediterranean-Asian mains such as a juicy Zakudia
steak sandwich on grilled wasabi mayo with sweet potato
chips. But it’s the elegant and refreshing cocktails
that make this the best place to while away your time.
Try their Diva made with fresh blackberry shaken with
crème de mure and Absolut Kurant and finished
with Champagne; or their Bellini mixed from white peach
pure and topped with Champagne. And say cheers."

Harden's London
Bar Guide
"If you are looking for a suitable destination for
a sundowner, this first floor south bank bar- with
its panoramic views of St Paul's and the city- is some
sort of modern classic. It is indeed a popular suits after
work destination, but- with the arrival of the bankside
locals- the atmosphere gets funkier as the evening
progresses." |

A scintillating selection
of freshly made, seriously good cocktails
"...The riverside windows are the pictures here,
affording us the views we love so much in the comfort
of a cocktail
bar and with the autimnal chill kept at bay."
"...What they do serve is a scintillating selection
of freshly made, seriously good cocktails at prices that
aren't excessive (£6 for Martinis, £6.50 for
Champagne Cocktails). The Bridge (Vodka mixed with peach
and melon
liquer and poured into tall drink with orange and cranberry
juice) is an easy, flavoured drink, and the Ginopolis (Gin
with crème de mure, passion fruit and lemon juice)
is a marvellous short drink."
"...What I will be going back for is the dreamy
views and the even dreamier cocktails." |
